Just across the river in Portland, Oregon, is the bookstore all programmers would like to browse in: Powells Technical Books. An entire store, packed with excellent stuff including:
- programming languages books
- operating systems books
- graphics
- a store cat (not making this up)
Not to be confused with their regular store 3 blocks away, that covers a city block and is a big hit with visiting tourists.
Coming next: I plan to ask the bookstore employees about hits and flops in the game programming area. This may vary from reviews on Amazon.
